What does this mean? How can I be a part of changing the world? Did you know that the rights of workers, human dignity, the family as the basic foundation of society, and protecting the environment are all part of Catholic Social Teachings?
The mission and goals of Catholic Social Teachings are universal—for all faiths and beliefs. The Star of the Valley Pastoral Council is sponsoring a three-session workshop on Catholic Social Teaching.
Learn about the seven themes of Catholic Social Teaching and its unique history and biblical foundations. Learn the difference between charity and justice and how both are important responses to caring for our fellow human beings. Most importantly, Learn how you can make a difference and bring radical kindness to our world.
Four Star of the Valley parishioners, Len Marabella, Marcy Fox, Mike Hanlon, and Mike Apicella, will lead interactive sessions on the various facets of Catholic Social Teaching.
The sessions will be held at Star of the Valley’s Monsignor Fahey Parish Center from 3:00–4:30 p.m. on the following dates: Wednesdays—March 12, 19 and 26, 2025. Free to attend.
