The Diocese of Santa Rosa serves 41 Parishes, 22 Missions, and 9 schools, sprawling over 6 counties, 53 cities, and 11,711 square miles. We serve a diverse range of churches and schools, from the Bay Area to the California/Oregon state line. Our goal is to bring effective management, communication, and processes to our expansive Diocese in order to achieve consistent outcomes where parishes and schools thrive.
Our office strives to ensure personnel policies and programs throughout the diocese are consistent, understood and enforced uniformly; to address the human resources challenges that our local church faces, and to comply with federal, state and local laws.
Our office also supports a holistic Human Resources best practice framework in order to increase employee engagement in areas such as Labor Codes & Compliance, Performance Management, People Management, Sexual Harassment Prevention, and Wellness Programming.

Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits may be available to you if you are unable to work because you need to care for a seriously ill family member or bond with a new child. You cannot receive PFL and Disability Insurance (DI) or Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits for the same period. PFL benefits are payable for a maximum of eight weeks in a 12-month period.
PFL is a component of the SDI program. Workers covered by SDI will also be covered for PFL.
Obtain a claim form from any public EDD office. You may also obtain a form through the EDD web site at www.edd.ca.gov. You may also call 1-877-238-4373 for English or 1-877-379-3819 for Spanish.
