A Retreat for Teenagers to Deepen Their FaithOur Quinceañera Formation Retreat provides an opportunity for young Catholic girls to reflect on the presence of God in their lives. While catechesis is an important component, this retreat is primarily focused on deepening and anchoring each girl's faith. It offers a unique time of dialogue with her family, a personal conversation with Christ, and the chance to learn how to be strong in a secular world.In a society filled with challenges, Catholic girls today need spiritual and moral guidance. This retreat aims to address that need by offering a solid foundation in Catholic teaching, drawn from reliable sources such as Theology of the Body (TOB), Holy Scriptures, The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), and more. Through this formation, girls will be better equipped to navigate their future with strength and holiness, while staying true to their path toward sanctity.

Un Retiro para Adolescentes para Profundizar en su FeNuestro Retiro de Formación para Quinceañeras brinda una oportunidad para que las jóvenes católicas reflexionen sobre la presencia de Dios en sus vidas. Aunque la catequesis es un componente importante, este retiro se centra principalmente en profundizar y fortalecer la fe de cada joven. Es un tiempo único de diálogo con su familia, una conversación personal con Cristo y una oportunidad para aprender a ser fuertes en un mundo secular.
En una sociedad llena de desafíos, las jóvenes católicas de hoy necesitan orientación espiritual y moral. Este retiro tiene como objetivo abordar esa necesidad al ofrecer una base sólida en la enseñanza católica, tomada de fuentes confiables como la Teología del Cuerpo (TOB), las Sagradas Escrituras, el Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica (CIC) y más. A través de esta formación, las jóvenes estarán mejor preparadas para enfrentar su futuro con fortaleza y santidad, manteniéndose fieles en su camino hacia la santidad.

Leaders' Formation and Certification Workshop
In collaboration with Catholic Quince Prep, the Office of Marriage and Family Life of the Diocese of Santa Rosa provided a valuable training session for 21 leaders from our diocese. The workshop took place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cotati and was led by Carmen Chávez-López from Agape Catholic Ministries.
Through this certification, these dedicated leaders are now equipped to offer Quince Prep and confirmation retreats for teenage girls. These retreats will help the girls reflect on the presence of God in their lives, engage in meaningful dialogue with their families and with Christ, and build a strong foundation for their future.
Congratulations to all the participants for their commitment and hard work!
En colaboración con Catholic Quince Prep, la Oficina de Matrimonio y Vida Familiar de la Diócesis de Santa Rosa ofreció una valiosa sesión de formación para 21 líderes de nuestra diócesis. El taller se llevó a cabo en la Iglesia Católica de San José en Cotati y fue dirigido por Carmen Chávez-López de Agape Catholic Ministries.
A través de esta certificación, estos dedicados líderes ahora están capacitados para ofrecer retiros de Quince Prep y de confirmación para adolescentes. Estos retiros ayudarán a las jóvenes a reflexionar sobre la presencia de Dios en sus vidas, participar en diálogos significativos con sus familias y con Cristo, y construir una base sólida para su futuro.

As youth enter young adulthood, they begin a period of greater personal responsibility which includes the discernment of vocation. In this context, responsible dating can be both the discernment of the vocation to marriage, as well as discerning a lifelong commitment with a particular person. How can this discernment proceed absent faith and prayer, and not be expressive of Christian discipleship?
