At our school, we provide a range of athletic opportunities for students in grades 4-12. Our commitment to nurturing athletic skills begins with our elementary students and extends through high school. Here's a closer look at the athletic programs available:
Elementary Level:
One distinctive feature of the Diocese of Santa Rosa is the chance for our elementary students to participate in sports programs tailored to each school's unique offerings. These programs are designed to introduce young athletes to the world of sports.
The North Bay Catholic School League, affectionately known as "NBCSL" among our school families, is a collaborative initiative involving Diocesan schools. It aims to provide after-school sports programs for students. The NBCSL welcomes diocesan school students in Grades 5-8, as well as invited guest member non-parochial schools to participate in sports like volleyball, basketball, and track and field. In any given year, the NBCSL sees over 500 student athletes competing annually.
Furthermore, some of our student athletes also engage in sports through the parish program of CYO, where Catholic school students and parishioners come together to play basketball. The North Bay CYO boasts an impressive number of athletes participating in sports each year ranging from grades 3 - 8.
Both CYO and NBCSL Athletic programs prioritize representing Christian values such as respect, love, compassion, and support for one another. These programs utilize sports, competition, and teamwork to foster healthy growth and development, imparting valuable life lessons to the students through games and practices.
High School Level:
As our students progress through their academic journey, they have the opportunity to take their athletic skills to the high school level. Many of them are well-prepared for this transition, having been introduced to both individual and team sports from a young age. High school athletics offer them a platform to further develop their sporting abilities and pursue their passion for sports.
